Are you looking for a Puggle who loves to snuggle? Uhna is your girl!
Uhna is a sweet senior Puggle who was surrendered by a devoted owner who just couldn't care for her anymore. If Uhna was a human she'd be the quintessential apron wearing white haired grandma. She may not wear a cardigan, sensible shoes, or have hankies stuffed in her sleeves, but she does enjoy watching the youngin's play from her spot on the couch instead of joining in and she can often be found dozing off during the fun. She just can't help it, old ladies need their rest ya' know! After snoozing the morning away, she will happily follow her family around the house. She likes supervising their activities and begging for treats.
She doesn't mind other dogs or cats, she just prefers to be treated with the respect a Golden Oldie deserves so she can get a bit crabby if she feels disrespected. The same goes for children. Well behaved, dog savvy kids are her favorite. She may not be able to hear the doorbell ring, but Uhna still gives her best "What the hecky darndies are you doing in my house?" to all visitors. She's all bark and no bite though, she just likes to make sure they know she's there. Uhna does sleep through the night in her crate without incident, but would much rather sleep in bed with her human or on the couch. It has been reported she's bit of a snorer, but little old ladies don't snore, they snoozle, or so she says.
Uhna is a very sweet, well trained dog, with impeccable manners. She walks well on a leash and enjoys walks. She is house trained and she has been very good about going to the door and barking when she wants to go potty. Due to her hearing loss she cannot be allowed off leash as she cannot hear you call her back. She will need a securely fenced yard or be leashed for potty times. She loves food and will flip her food dish over to let you know she's ready to eat! She does have a corn allergy so her future family will need to be mindful of the ingredients in her food. Uhna is crate trained, but can trusted to be left alone in the house if you choose.
Uhna is looking for a family to give her the best rest of her life. If that is you, please apply today.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
