Ooooh you’re reading my bio! Hiya, I’m Quigley!! I’m the bestest boy! That’s what my hoomans tell me. I’ve been a pet all my life and through no fault of my own was surrendered to Lucky Bulldogs Rescue where I have continued to enjoy the spoiled pet life.
I like to saunter around the house just checking things out, making sure everything is just where it’s supposed to be. I am such a good boy - I don’t get into things. Ah er well, my foster mom has this stoopid bowl of pine cones, and I sneak one out every now and then, but my she finally put it out of my reach. Other than that, I only get my Nylabones and toys out of my toy bin. I haven’t learned to clean up yet. My foster sister and I hang out together a lot. I don't get jealous when she gets pets. She is a lot smaller than me so sometimes I don't realize that she is under my butt! I LOVE the couch and I have long legs so getting up on it is usually a breeze unless I'm not paying attention and biff it. My hoomans say I handle stairs like a boss. Sometimes I like to follow my hoomans around, but when I get bored, I just move back to the couch and will snooze for as long as I want. I also like to lay on the bare floor as it feels nice and cool on my belly. Naps, did I mention that I LOVE naps? They’re my favorite. Oh wait! Snuggles…those definitely rank up there too.
I am potty trained. No accidents in my kennel. If I need to go at an unscheduled time, I just head to the door and wait. Currently, my hoomans are trying to teach me to use the bells they have hung on the door, but I’m just not getting it yet and besides if they follow me, they know what I need to do. I am also crate trained, although I do need to be coaxed the last few feet with a treat. But once inside, I adjust my bed, snuggle down, and I’m good for extended periods of time despite my foster sister screeching. She doesn't like her kennel. I will usually sleep through the night unless I drink a lot of water before bed. Sometimes a guy is just extra thirsty ya know. I don’t sleep in my hoomans' bed, but if I had some stairs where I wouldn’t get hurt getting down, I think I might like to try that.
When a door is opened, I am excited to go outside…in a hurry, so my hoomans always make sure I have my leash on or they let me out in the fenced yard. I enjoy going on walkies. A home with a fenced yard would be preferable, but I would do fine in an apartment since I’m such a chill dude. I know some basic commands sit, lay down, come. I know what no means, but it's not my favorite word. My favorite word is Peanut Butter! I will do almost anything for this scrumptious treat. When receiving treats, it’s real important that my hooman says “Eeeaasy” cause I really like treats and I get a little too anxious otherwise. When I get excited for pets, I wiggle all over.
Medically I am in good shape. I’ve been neutered, heartworm tested, microchipped, and up-to-date on my vaccinations. The vet said I had pearly white teefers so I didn’t need a dental cleaning. I had cherry eye surgery prior to arriving at LBR and then I had to have Entropion Surgery upon arrival. I have recovered just fine and my eyes are comfy! I have a deep nose wrinkle that just needs wiped out a couple times a week.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me. I’m super excited to find my furever home. Love & wiggles, Quigley

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
