If you are looking for an adventurous, fun loving, quizzical, oversized baby then Pepper is your girl! This little lady is NOT your typical potato shaped Frenchie! Her long, long legs give her the grace and shape of a gymnast as well as excellent jumping skills. She has a high prey drive and tons of energy to play, play, play. She greets her foster family every morning with a toy in her mouth and is ready to play fetch before the coffee is even made! She does get a little excited during play time and she gives her people "love nibbles" by putting her mouth over your hand or fingers and then proceeds to slobber on you. While these are not hard nibbles or aggressive in nature, those with small children should be aware. She does stop playing on command, but she will often stare down her foster family while holding a toy in her mouth and they usually give in because, well, they are big suckers! Don't worry though, after all that playing, she still loves to snuggle. She uses those long legs to jump up on the couch (or walk across the back of it) to find the best lap and tucks herself right in for a nap.
While she loves to stretch those long legs alllll the way up to the dinner table and take sneaky bites of food, her tummy does not agree with this plan at all. Human food gives her tummy issues. The most Frenchie thing about Pepper is her allergies. She is on a prescription diet and must continue eating it the rest of her life to maintain her health and the cleanliness of your floors.
Pepper continues to laugh in the face of Frenchie traditions by actually listening to her people. She knows basic commands such as: sit, no, and outside. She is also fully potty trained!
Due to Pepper's high prey drive she cannot be adopted to a family with cats or other small pets and a fenced yard is an absolute must. Any squirrel, bunny, or random attack leaf don't stand a chance with Pepper as she chases them all away.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
