Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the princess of a Lucky Bulldogs Rescue. (Just pretend it rhymes K?)
In Southeast Ohio I was born and raised
On the couch was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out, chewin', relaxin', all cool
And all chasin’ some squirrels in the yard like a fool
When all of a sudden I was loaded in the car
Drivin’ and drivin’ we went really far
I got the surprise of my life when mama said
“From now on Lucky Bulldogs Rescue is where you will lay your head.”
We pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to my mama, "Yo holmes, smell ya later"
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the princess of LBR.
It’s me, Nezzie, a young two-year-old French Bulldog with a slightly pointy nose. Some say my looks are unconventional for a Frenchie, but my nose is not just a hood ornament, it actually works! I can breathe! The last few months of my life have been up and down, and I didn’t know what the heck was going on. When Foster Ma first met me, I was really shut down and afraid of everything. She was calm and quiet, and treated me like the princess I am. It only took a few days and I learned to trust her and love my life again. My favorite thing to do with Foster Ma is follow her around the house to make sure she’s doing things just right. So far so good Foster Ma! Sometimes I will snuggle her on the couch and sometimes I get the zoomies and run around the backyard like my booty is on fire. I guess it depends on which way the wind is blowing at the time. What can I say, I’m a free-spirited princess!
Some of my favorite things are chewing on bones, playing with toys, and shamelessly sneaking veggies right out of the garden. Foster Ma thinks she’s a bad gardener, but I think the cherry tomatoes are fantastic! After I’m done with my snack, I find my favorite comfy bed and crash for my power nap. Once I wake up it’s back to supervising Foster Ma. It’s a rough job, but with royalty comes responsibility and I’m very serious about my duties. However, I’m looking for a new subject to reign over, Foster Ma is great, but she doesn’t have the long-term potential I’m looking for. Are you interested in the position? If so, click the "Apply for Nezzie" button below and fill out the application.
Foster Ma here, Nezzie is a young healthy French Bulldog who has been spayed and is current on all her vaccinations. True princesses would never mention it, but she totally potty trained!

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
