Faith is ready to find her forever home! This 6 year-old cuddle bug adores people and loves to be adored by her people.
Faith was surrendered when her family could no longer give her the attention she deserves. Believe us, Faith deserves all the attention! She is one of the sweetest pups we’ve ever known. She loves to be near her people for belly rubs and head scratches and she loves to bring presents to her people, usually a favorite stuffed animal. She does great in the car but would prefer to either drive the car for you or to sit on your lap as you drive so that she can be as close to you as possible.
Faith arrived with entropion, a condition that causes the eyelids to roll inward, making her lashes irritate her eyes. Otherwise, she is a healthy pup. While she has a wonderfully smooshy face, Faith does not have breathing issues typical for her breed. Her adoptive family will need to take care she does not over exert herself or get overheated when she is outside.
Don’t be deceived by Faith’s meatball physique – she is surprisingly athletic! She jumped over an ottoman like it was an Olympic hurdling event and she can run, not like a sprinter, but more like a middle-distance runner. For these reasons, we strongly recommend a home with a fenced yard.
Faith is crate trained and housebroken. She does not signal to go outside to potty, but we take her out frequently. Since recovering from eye surgery and her spay, Faith hasn’t gone on many walks but she does well on a leash. She’s strong, though, and has pulled her foster mama across the yard. She is food-motivated but does not resource guard.
The perfect family for Faith will have someone with a flexible work/home schedule so that she can get all the snuggles she needs. She would love to be the center of attention, so a family without any dogs would be great, but any future foster siblings would need to be easygoing because our girl is a diva! Faith is strong and can overpower small kids and dogs smaller than her, so a home with kids 8 and up and dogs her size or larger would be an excellent fit. While Faith co-exists peacefully with the female Frenchies, she is aggressive with male dogs and bit her surrendering family’s male bulldog on one occasion. She is also rather bossy with the male Chihuahua next door, letting him know that there’s a new sheriff in town. Faith is just as bossy with the vacuum, which she detests with the heat of a thousand suns.
If you love to be loved and have plenty of time for cuddles, Faith will be your best friend and a loyal and loving companion.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
