Hello there! My name is Elsa. I was released from a commercial breeding facility and am estimated to be four years old. My breeder wanted me to live out the rest of my days as a pampered pet, so now I’m looking for a hooman with a chest where I can rest my chin forever. I have a lot of love to give... my foster parents say that it’s sometimes ‘overwhelming,’ whatever that means... My favorite toys are these long black rubbery rope things that plug into the wall, but my foster parents never let me play with them. Something about I’m going to ‘electrocute’ myself.. Yhat must be what happens when you have too much fun I guess.
For some reason they think I need to work on potty training, but I don’t see the problem. I potty just fine, I even clean up after myself sometimes! I found this soft, fuzzy stuff on the floor in the living room and it is the PERFECT place for me to do my business - so comfy. Sometimes the humans try to take me out in to the yard, they must love people-watching from the porch like me! There is a wrinkly boy dog in my foster home who sort of looks like me, but I don’t pay him any mind. Sometimes he tries to play with me, but I would rather play with my humans. I haven’t been around any small humans or feline friends so I’m not really sure what I’d think of them.
Being an adorable rolly polly is not all fun and games. I am a bit of a diva.. Some may even say I'm high maintenance. My rolls overlap onto my face and bum, so I have a very deep nose wrinkle and tail pocket. I really don’t mind letting Foster Mom clean them out every day, but she gets a bit too big for her britches sometimes and tries to clean my ears too. Part of being such an adorable squishy lump means my nose isn’t the greatest. I get overheated pretty easily and once in a while I do this cool reverse sneezing trick. Along with my rolls I also have a few lumps and bumps. One of my ears is thick and lumpy because I used to have hematomas that were never drained so now it’s just thick cartilage. No biggie though, it doesn’t hurt and Foster Mom says all the professional wrestlers have them. I had two hernias repaired during my spay. I’d hardly notice any of these issues if the foster humans weren’t always fussing over me. Foster Mom says that she might just dog nap me if I don’t have a perfect application. I’m getting nervous, please apply!

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

-We are no longer accepting applications for Elsa-
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
