Bella is a laid back, lazy cuddlebug. All this sweet girl wants is a human to love on her and when she gets that, she eats it up! She sleeps most of the day away with her foster mom who works from home, but all you have to do to make this girl your bestie is give her some neck or chest rubs and she'll be by your side forever. Bella LOVES kids and would make a great furry friend for anyone and everyone in the family.
Bella does not like the crate, but she will tolerate it for short periods of time. She does best in a secure room by herself when her foster family is gone and at night when they are sleeping, but her foster family is sure she would also enjoy sleeping in bed with her new family if they would be willing to share. Bella would surely love to come to work with her new Mom or Dad, but would be perfectly content home alone during the days if her new family works out of the house and aren't able to take her along. She'll just need a mid-day potty break.. And maybe a quick treat!
Bella was picked up as a stay in Oklahoma and was in really bad shape when she came into the rescue. She had multiple types of bacterial infections and yeast infection from head to toe resulting in patches of hair loss. Thankfully, after a few rounds of antibiotics, the skin infections were gone and much of her fur has grown back! Bella does have some areas on her body that are so scarred they will likely never grow hair, but her foster family makes sure she knows she's beautiful anyway.
Bella appears to have had chronic, untreated ear infections due to neglect, which caused a considerable amount of scar tissue and inflammation within her ears. She is on long-term ear and eye drops to keep her comfortable and infection-free. Bella's foster family has been able to maintain her itchies with daily Zytrek or Benadryl. While being spayed, Bella had two mammary tumors removed, and we are happy to report they were benign!
One thing to note is Bella does not have scars from c-sections, however, it is obvious she has delivered multiple litters of puppies vaginally. Due to this, her back end is larger than the average dog, but it is strictly cosmetic and has caused no comfort or medical issues at all.
Bella is a lover who deserves to be the queen of her forever home after what was certainly a terrible first few years of life. She absolutely loves kids of all ages and would make the perfect companion for anyone who is looking to always have a loving heart nearby.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

Bella is No Longer Accepting Applications.
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
