Aspen just might be the best girl ever. You'd never know she had never lived the pet life before joining the rescue. She loves people and is constantly branching out (pun intended) to meet new friends! She absolutely loves all kinds of attention whether it be: pets, cuddles, or belly rubs. She has short bursts of energy and uses them to play with her foster sister. Afterwards, she relaxes with a nice chew toy or Nyla bone. She does however love chewing all sorts of things so you'll need to keep socks, remotes, and home decorations out of her reach until she learns belongs to her and what doesn't. Chew time is usually short lived as Aspen relishes spending her down time relaxing on a dog bed, the couch, or next to the heat vent during this cold winter weather. Aspen does not like to be too far from her people. Wherever you are, there she will be asking for some head and ear scratches. When her people are gone she does well in her kennel and sleeps with either a dog bed or a blanket. No hard feelings for leaving her though, as long you give her a good pet and a treat when you arrive back home.
Aspen has been spayed, had her teeth cleaned, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She is working on potty training. She has just started to figure out signaling her foster mom. Right now she circles by the door which is great! Her accidents have significantly decreased and she will soon succeed with a consistent routine. She is also kennel trained and will spend her time "on the inside" snoozing the day or night away. Give this sweet girl a forever home and you'll get a lifetime guarantee of snorts and snores with the occasional toot.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks except in cases of overwhelming popularity where we may stop accepting new applicants sooner. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
