He is jam packed with energy and loves to play, play, play! Health Issues: No known health issues Behavioral Issues: Angus appears to be uncomfortable with men until he gets to know them. |
Angus is an incredible, playful boy once he gets comfortable with his people. Angus seems to think he runs the show, so it is extremely important that he goes to a family of strong leaders who are able to be firm with him and teach him who's boss. Angus loves fetch and he sleeps as hard as he plays, so you'll still have a cuddle partner with this boy even though he's a playful, energetic dude. Angus loves love, so he tends to be a shadow dog and follow his foster people wherever they go.
Angus is a protector, which can be an amazing trait in a dog who is well-trained to know when and when not to use it. His foster family reports they are confident that if anyone were to try and break into their home, Angus would protect them instead of love on the person like many attention-seeking bulldogs would do. With Angus having that protective instinct, he needs to be reminded who is good and how to love them instead of be scared of them.
Angus can be a chewer, so he would love lots of tough chew toys in his forever home. He gets a little excited with treats and is still learning to calmly take them from his foster family. Angus is such a good boy and his foster family feels that any home that will continue to work with him daily on his dominance and protective personality would be perfect for him.

While in foster care, all our dogs are thoroughly vetted. Any discovered medical issues will be disclosed above. Our Lucky Bulldogs (and their smushie-faced buddies) are cleared by their vet for adoption prior to us accepting applications. All our dogs will be up to date on Rabies & DHPP vaccinations, up to date on Heartworm preventative after a negative Heartworm test, and spayed or neutered prior to being adopted out to their forever homes. Often times, our dogs are given dentals and sometimes nare-widening surgery if needed while under anesthesia. All surgical and medical history we have will be shared with adopters. Further details can be discussed with the foster volunteer during the phone interview for the applications that are chosen to proceed to the phone interview part of the adoption process.
All our dogs are crate trained unless otherwise noted on their "All About" pages.

-Angus is No Longer Accepting Applications-
We will accept applications for our available dogs for 1-2 weeks. Once we have stopped accepting applications, we will review them and proceed with a phone call with our top two applications to chat about the dog being applied for, go over the adoption process, and answer any questions the potential adopter has. After phone calls take place, we will decide on our top applicant choice and proceed to contact them to schedule a home visit (in person or via video chat), and check vet and personal references before the adoption is ready to be completed. This process can take up to 6 weeks.
