A Little Info About LBR

Our mission at Lucky Bulldogs Rescue is to rescue as many brachycephalic (short snout) dogs as we can from the commercial breeding system. We rehabilitate, evaluate, and adopt them out to loving forever homes so they can experience the spoiled pet life after spending their first years being bred. We also occasionally take dogs who were being re-homed online or if owners contact us to surrender their dog.

Lucky Bulldogs Rescue focuses on English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and other short-nosed breeds we like to call the smushie faces. All our
dogs are fostered in the homes of volunteers who work hard to gain the dogs' trust and teach them that positive human interaction is possible while also maintaining medical care and sometimes dealing with dogs with special needs.

Stacy Perkins
President

Stacy lives in Council Bluffs, IA. Her first Frenchie was a retired commercial breeder she adopted from a local rescue.  After experiencing what it was like to rescue a dog, she became aware of the need for volunteers in the rescue world as well as the abundance of dogs in need of rescue.  Since then, Stacy has volunteered with multiple rescues until she and a handful of like-minded friends she met in the rescue world formed Lucky Bulldogs Rescue.

Tanya Ferrell
Vice President

Tanya lives in Franklin, TN. She and her husband Aaron have two children and six rescued furbabies; three Boston Terriers, two Frenchies, and one English Bulldog. The Ferrells adopted a Boston Terrier named Chance after he lost his home and family in the 2010 Nashville Flood. Chance passed from Thyroid Cancer just two years later. In 2012, Tanya and her family began volunteering with rescues in his memory after Chance's passing.

Adam Covington
Treasurer

Adam lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He and his partner have two French Bulldogs named Finn and Frank. Finn came to Adam with severe allergy issues, and Frank was rescued from a private breeder at nearly 20 pounds overweight and with very little social skills. Finn and Frank now oversee Adams companies and roam the workplace demanding treats and belly rubs. Adam and The Fam have been working with rescue organizations for a few years and are all thrilled to be making a difference in so many dogs' lives by being a large part of Lucky Bulldogs Rescue.

We are based in Iowa but we have fosters throughout the Midwest and various other states.  All our dogs have location information included in their descriptions.  We DO adopt to anywhere in the United States and Canada, as long as the adopters are willing to travel to the dog's foster location to pick up their new best friend.
